For my Birthday this year we decided to visit Oheka Castle in Huntington, New York. This 443-acre estate is worth a visit and has so much history behind it. It currently is a hotel, wedding venue, restaurant and they also give tours. It’s the second-largest private home ever built in the U.S with 127 rooms. The original owner Otto Kahn was a famous banker who was originally from Germany and was convinced to come to NY to work on wall street. He decided to come to Huntington to have the estate built from 1914-1919. The estimated cost of the estate today is 158 million. He had lavish parties where his dinning room table alone could hold over 50 people. I definitely recommend taking the tour because there is so much more to learn and the tour guide was fabulous.
The original owner is said to be the banker featured in Monopoly. The castle was featured in Taylor Swifts Blank space video and Kevin Jonas got married there. It is elegant and beautiful and was restored with 40 million dollars to get it to look how it originally looked when it was first built.
Here is a link to the history and website that has the tour, hotel and restaurant information.

This sweater is an amazon find 25$! It comes in black, green, white, yellow, navy, grey and wine. It’s so comfortable and cute. For sizing references this sweater is a small. I am thinking about buying it in another color. The leggings are faux leather spanx which are amazing. The earrings are also from amazon and came in a 16 pack for $18.99 which I will post a separate post about because it’s such a great deal a little over a dollar for one pair of earrings you can’t go wrong. The necklace is also from amazon it comes with 9 necklaces for 12$. The bag is Dooney & Bourke which is currently on sale for $99.
